Echo Beach or Pantai Batu Mejan is Canggu’s most favorite surfing beach. Locally known as Pantai Batu Mejan named after a notable Balinese Hindu sea temple on site. A collection of delightful seafood cafes set on a special vantage point offers you a great viewpoint to witness all the fun happening on the beach. At the other end of the cafes, you will be able to see the contour of the centuries-old temple. The temple and the cafes rest on a short hill facing the beach area. The black-sand beach is conveniently reached down a few steps to the right of the gate. Please note that Echo beach is for advanced surfers.
Nelayan Beach is an another beautiful beach situated right between Canggu’s two other high-grade-known beaches, namely Batu Bolong and Berawa. It is a rather small beach, however, presents an outstanding panorama that includes rivers as well. Two small river mouths border both ends of the beach. The waves at Nelayan Beach are not that ideal for surfers and it’s better to paddle out to neighboring Batu Bolong with its long rights and lava-rock reefs. However, there’s a plenty of sand enabling you to smoothly roam and laze about while appreciating the open seascapes.
Pererenan and Seseh beaches and Rice Fields
Adjoined by the splashing streams of the Indian Ocean and green rice fields, the villages within the Canggu Beach neighborhood volunteer brilliant sceneries.
